Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez is aware that sales are down due to US customers not wanting to buy from Chavez owned CITGO. Though CITGO often charges pennies less, many Americans continue to boycott Chavez owned stations. CITGO is now attempting to RE-BRAND. They've started to change the name of some of their stores to PETRO EXPRESS. From a marketing perspective, we don't think it will work. From an American perspective, we thought you should know.
