When you say NO, they - very officially- go on to tell you that they are going to credit your account and start a fraud investigation. They even go on to toll-free # to ask for security if you have any questions. They even give you a control number. HERE'S THE SCAM!- After all this official sounding talk (you hardly speak), they want to confirm you are in possession of the card. They ask you to confirm the 3-digit security on the back of the card. DON'T DO IT!!! Somehow these crooks already have your credit card #, it's the 3-digit code that they are after. No credit card company will ever call you by phone to verify any numbers, EVER .
