Job Searching Tips ...
 
70% of employment contacts are made through networking. Make new connections through work fairs, networking, seminars and through on-line job postings -  Craigslist.com, Careerbuilders.com, Monster.com etc. Use LinkedIn.com, MeetUp.com  and other networking sites, preferably during evening hours. During the day, get out there and make connections.
 
Turn negatives into positives. Enthusiasm plays a major role. Be positive and highlight the contributions you can make at new company. Employers are hiring you for what you want to do, not what you don't like to do.
 
Refresh your resume. Keep it nice and simple. No fancy fonts and colored print. Less is more. Employers do not have the time to read a three page resume. One page is nice if possible.
 
Remember to use key words pertaining to the job you are seeking. Many major corporations use a computer to read resumes. These computers  pick up on key words. Always follow up with a thank you letter, e-mail or a phone call.
