Join AHA's team and walk together for Autism Research* Sunday, October 5th, 2008 - Jones Beach (Field 5), in Wantagh, NY** Registration begins at 9:30 am Walk begins at 11:00 am AHA is once again participating in the Long Island Walk for Autism Research. This is the signature fund-raising event of Autism Speaks. In 2007, 24,000 participants were on hand as the Long Island Walk raised a record-breaking 2.2 million dollars. Walk with AHA in support of this worthy cause. Together we can make a difference in the advancement and acceleration of autism research. Join us (the AHA family: office administrators/ hotline staff, support group facilitators, board members, members and many friends and families) for this fun-filled experience with entertainment, refreshments, an autism community resource fair, and much more.

In order to walk with the AHA Team, be sure to pre-register, please take the following steps:

Step One: Go to  walknowforautism.org/longisland /

Step Two: Under Register, click on Join a Team Scroll down to AHA/Leader Bernice Polinsky On the AHA Team page on the right click the left "view" then on Join Our Team Fill out the form and click Submit

Step Three: Send an email to Bernice at bernicep@ahany. org Put WALK in the subject of your email. Give your name, your contact information and the names and ages of others in your group. Feel free to bring along friends and family - everyone who pre-registers gets an AHA t-shirt.
