This past week was tough. The memory and sadness of 9/11, the devastation of Hurricane Ike (knowing Katrina victims are still struggling), the bankruptcy of Lehman Bros, the bailout of AIG, etc ... so if you had that 'Wow, what the BLEEEP is going on here?' feeling, you were not alone. Now lets go kick some butt!!! Enjoy your weekend.

The men you love need your help!
On Friday, September 19, 2008, in support of Prostate Cancer Awareness Day and to help spread this information along, Integrated Medical Foundation is leading the community in a widely publicized Prostate Cancer awareness project called
"Wear Blue for the Men You Love".
On that day men and woman will wear blue, in honor and in memory of the men we love. Wearing blue will show support for Prostate Cancer Awareness and will draw attention to the importance of early diagnosis of this horrific disease. Prostate cancer affects our loved ones.... our fathers, grandfathers, husbands, brothers, uncles, sons, grandsons, friends, neighbors and colleagues. 1 out of 6 men (1 out of 4 African American men) will have prostate cancer in their lifetime. 230,000 men a year are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, and 30,000 of them will die.
The good news is that if detected early, prostate cancer is treatable! For more information, feel free to contact Rhonda Samuel, Executive Director of the Integrated Medical Foundation at 516 277-1181.
